Houston 3, at Milwaukee 1: Roger Clemens struck out seven in seven innings to get his 346th win. Clemens (5-4) gave up six hits and one run to improve to 3-0 with a no-decision in his last four starts.
St. Louis 5, at Chicago 3: Chris Carpenter pitched eight strong innings and Chris Duncan homered for the third consecutive game for the Cardinals, who ended their worst season at Wrigley Field with a 2-8 record.
at Cincinnati 5, Pittsburgh 1: Adam Dunn and Scott Hatteberg homered for the Reds in a four-run third inning.
at New York 2, Colorado 0: Orlando Hernandez won for the fifth time in six decisions, and Carlos Delgado and Carlos Beltran homered to complete a three-game sweep of the Rockies.
at Florida 4, Atlanta 3: Dontrelle Willis pitched seven innings to win for only the second time in his last eight starts, and the Marlins averted a series sweep by beating the Braves.
