A holiday party in two parts

Once again, the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas is partitioned into a hard-rock opening night and a lighter second night. The Foo Fighters is the one band deemed versatile enough to appear on both Saturday (with AFI, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Papa Roach, et al.) and Sunday (topping a bill that includes Beck, the Killers, the Raconteurs, Panic! at the Disco, Evanescence and Angels and Airwaves). For those keeping track, a female voice returns to the party for the first time since Gwen Stefani’s unannounced appearance in 2004, in the person of Evanescence leader Amy Lee.
