Sorry, Clippers, wrong answer

Share

Typical Clippers. They have a chance to get Allen Iverson for Corey Maggette and Shaun Livingston, yet refuse, saying Livingston is “untouchable”?

Iverson averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 assists, 4.1 rebounds in his first NBA season. In his third year, Livingston is having his best season at 8.2 points, 4.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds. In his career, Livingston has 1,035 points and 39 assists fewer than Iverson did in his first season.

Iverson is a perennial All-Star who would give the Clippers a chance at a championship, steal headlines from the Lakers and sell jerseys and tickets. Livingston is a project, who, if he ever fulfills his potential, has a chance to lead them to the eighth seeding in the playoffs each year.

The only thing untouchable with the Clippers is the championship trophy.

Old balls, new balls. Only two things remain certain.

Sam Cassell is still complaining and the Clippers are a mediocre team.
