Update -- Defenseman Sean O’Donnell probably will sit out his second consecutive game because of a cut on his right foot. Ducks players in their first or second full NHL seasons have produced 64 goals and 74 assists. San Jose has the fourth-most points in the NHL with 50 but still sits 10 points behind the Ducks in the Pacific Division. The teams met Dec. 16, when Joe Thornton’s power-play goal with 2 minutes 13 seconds left lifted the Sharks to a win.
