Big Win for Loyola, 94-76

Brandon Worthy had 23 points and nine assists to lead Loyola Marymount to a 94-76 victory over San Diego on Monday night at San Diego, ending the Toreros’ four-game winning streak.

Wes Wardrop had 19 points, and Matthew Knight had 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Lions, 10-13 overall and 7-2 in the West Coast Conference, who have won four of five games.

Ross DeRogatis had 19 points for San Diego (15-7, 5-4), and Brandon Johnson had 18.

Loyola Marymount opened the second half with an 11-2 run to take a 54-36 lead. Center Chris Ayer scored six points in the run and finished the second half with 15 points.

The Lions shot 60.7% from the field in the second half and finished the game at 56.7%.

San Diego shot 44.4% for the game.

San Francisco 66, Pepperdine 63 -- Dommanic Ingerson scored five points in the final minute as the Dons rallied to win a WCC game at San Francisco.

Jason Wallace-Carter had 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead San Francisco (9-13, 5-4). The Dons won despite shooting only 26.9% in the first half.

Tashaan Forehan-Kelly had 22 points and nine rebounds for Pepperdine (7-14, 3-6). The Waves fell to 1-10 on the road.

Pepperdine led by as many as seven points in the first half but went cold down the stretch. The Waves led 54-53 with 4:51 left to play but made only two shots the rest of the way.
