Holiday closures
Today is Martin Luther King Day. The following schedule will be in effect in observance of the holiday:
Offices: All city, county, state and federal offices and courts will be closed.
Mail: There will be no mail delivery; post offices will be closed.
Libraries: Most libraries will be closed.
Banks: Most banking institutions will be closed.
Schools: Public schools will be closed.
Public transportation: MTA bus and rail service will run on regular weekday schedules. Metrolink trains will operate on a reduced schedule. For information, call (800) 371-LINK or log onto www.metrolinktrains.com.
Trash collection: The city of Los Angeles will maintain regular pickup schedules.
