“Hooked on a Feeling”

David Hasselhoff

A warning about the former “Baywatch” star’s interpretation of this classic FM hit: Make sure your tolerance for awesomeness is high before watching this video because the clip is awesome indeed. Hasselhoff dances with Masai warriors, boats among glaciers and flies among migrating geese -- all to a sinfully cheesy Euro-disco electro beat -- in one of the deliberately worst matte-backdrop sequences ever committed to tape.

Shot by 50 fans handed Hi8 cameras at one of the group’s concerts, this video (a segment of a Beasties rockumentary that played at the Sundance Film Festival) captures the raucous mania of their stage show. Interesting to note that after years of claiming the moral high ground, the group worked “Monkey,” an ode to nasty booze and deviant behavior, back into their set list.

“Shot You Down”

Audio Bullys

Tastefully sampling Nancy Sinatra’s melancholy version of “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down),” the Brit-hop dance music duo tap into something akin to Daft Punk’s French house vibe -- but achieve a decidedly grittier punk-rock effect. Cost: .99 British pound (about $1.75 U.S.).

“Be Without You”

Mary J. Blige

In this song -- and its exclusive performance clip for Yahoo’s Live @ Launch -- MJB wrangles with the uncomfortable possibility that her significant other has romantically strayed. But she ultimately suspends her suspicions by listening to her super-ego: “If you’re down on love and you don’t believe, this ain’t for you!” she sings.
