The $750,0000 CashCall Mile isn’t the only stakes race on the card today at Hollywood Park.

The 10-race program also includes the $150,000 A Gleam Handicap and the $100,000 Landaluce.

A Grade II for older fillies and mares at seven furlongs, the A Gleam attracted only six entrants, headed by Somethinaboutlaura and Maryfield.

Owned by a partnership and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Somethinaboutlaura finished a close third in the Milady in her last start on June 3 and will be looking for her seventh win in 15 starts.

Maryfield, a 5-year-old Elusive Quality mare, has won two of four since being claimed for $50,000 by trainer Doug O’Neill for a partnership this year. Most recently, she was second to My Miss Storm Cat in the Desert Stormer on May 28.

In the Landaluce, an ungraded race for 2-year-old fillies at six furlongs, trainer Bob Baffert will try to win it for a third time with Thru n’ Thru. The daughter of Stormy Atlantic beat maidens by one length in her debut on June 15. Baffert’s other Landaluce wins came with Hookedonthefeelin (1998) and Notable Career (2000).

Race of the day: Lemons Forever, the 47-1 winner of the Kentucky Oaks on May 5, will make her first start at Belmont Park in the $250,000 Mother Goose. A Grade I for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/8 miles, the Mother Goose also lured Teammate, Bushfire and four others. The Mother Goose is followed by the $400,000 Suburban, a Grade I for older horses at 1 1/4 miles. Seven are scheduled to run, topped by Invasor, who won the Pimlico Special in his U.S. debut on May 19.

One for the road: Edgerrin has been very game in his last two victories and can make it three wins in a row in the ninth race today at Churchill Downs. Eddie Castro will ride the 5-year-old Category Five gelding for trainer Merrill Scherer in the $50,000 claimer at 6 1/2 furlongs.

Exotically speaking: A pick three using Sofocles, Camisado, Putmeinyourwill and T.H. Praise in the fourth; Evanston and Russian Veto in the fifth; and Shining Energy and Sweet Talker in the sixth.
