France’s Zinedine Zidane was selected the winner of the Golden Ball, as the best player in the World Cup, after France’s loss to Italy in the championship match. But the lingering image for many who watched the player’s final Cup match will be the dramatic head butt he delivered to the chest of Italy’s Marco Materazzi in overtime.
