Philadelphia 6, at San Francisco 2: David Bell hit a tying home run in the seventh and had a run-scoring triple in a four-run eighth inning for the Phillies. Barry Bonds hit his 721st homer for the Giants.
at Cincinnati 6, Colorado 4: Rich Aurilia’s pinch-hit, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the eighth inning helped the Reds complete a four-game sweep of the Rockies, who suffered their seventh consecutive loss.
Milwaukee 10, at Arizona 5: Geoff Jenkins, Prince Fielder and Corey Hart homered for the Brewers, who ended a losing streak at five games and stopped the Diamondbacks’ winning streak at five.
at Florida 9, Houston 3: Hanley Ramirez and Wes Helms each homered and drove in three runs to help the Marlins salvage a split of the four-game series.
Washington 8, at Pittsburgh 4: Nick Johnson drove in two runs with a tiebreaking double in the 11th inning and the Nationals ended a losing streak at five games.
