Pastor Gets Jail in Death of Girl Hit in Crosswalk

A pastor has been sentenced to six months in jail in the death of a 6-year-old girl his vehicle struck and killed in a crosswalk.
The Rev. Albert White Sr. hit Joanie Marcos and her sister Sheree, 14, as they walked to school Feb. 3, 2005. Sheree survived; Joanie died at a hospital.
White also was placed on three years’ probation, fined $1,000 and ordered to serve 100 hours of volunteer service for misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
