Share

Trade Only has shown versatility in winning two in a row for trainer Neil Drysdale.

When she broke her maiden for owner-breeder Gainsborough Farm LLC on March 29 at Santa Anita, the 4-year-old Unbridled filly rallied from six lengths off the pace to win going away as the 9-10 favorite.

In her first against winners April 29 at Hollywood Park, Trade Only made the lead out of the gate under regular rider Victor Espinoza, slowed the fractions down and held off favored Sohgol to win by half a length. Sohgol flattered the effort when she returned to win as the favorite in a 10-furlong race Sunday.

After losing her first three starts, Trade Only will try for a third consecutive win against five other fillies and mares in the third race today at Hollywood Park. The $55,000 optional claimer at 1 1/16 miles on turf is the first leg of a pick six with a carry-over of $128,803.

The 2-year-old is by Bertrando out of the speedy mare Miss Inn Zone and has worked well for owners Curt and Lila Lanning and trainer Ed Moger. Frank Alvarado will ride the full brother to Global Trade and Shytrando in the $30,000 maiden contest at 4 1/2 furlongs.
