3 Pedestrians Injured in Los Feliz
Three pedestrians were critically injured Saturday night when they were knocked through a chain-link fence in the aftermath of a two-vehicle collision in Los Feliz, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
After a compact car and an SUV collided shortly after 9 p.m. at Hillhurst and Franklin avenues, one or both of the vehicles pushed the bystanders through the fence, which had been put up temporarily around a one-story commercial building on the southwest corner of the intersection, said Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The pedestrians were taken to County-USC Medical Center. The drivers appeared to be in fair condition and were being assessed, Humphrey said. There were no passengers.
