Disney changes its ‘Game Plan’
Disney has postponed production of a film called “The Game Plan” after star Dwayne Johnson, better known as the Rock, ruptured his Achilles tendon Monday while preparing for his role as a professional quarterback.
Johnson will undergo surgery in Miami on Friday, a studio spokesman said Tuesday.
The movie, described as a family comedy in which Johnson’s character discovers while preparing for a championship game that he has a young daughter, was to have begun filming in Boston next week.
It will be on hiatus until Johnson is fully recovered, the spokesman said.
