Chivas USA Gets a 1-1 Tie With Colorado

Colorado’s Dedi Ben-Dayan scored in the 58th minute Wednesday night and the Rapids salvaged a 1-1 tie against Chivas USA.

Ben-Dayan has scored in all four games he has played against Chivas USA.

Juan Pablo Garcia scored in the 10th minute for Chivas USA. Ante Razov cut the ball back to Garcia inside the Rapids’ penalty area and Garcia chipped the ball over goalkeeper Joe Cannon.

Former Manchester United player Jovan Kirovski nearly had a goal for Colorado when he stole the ball in the 14th minute, but his low attempt went wide.

Terry Cooke had three chances to score, starting with a shot in the 18th minute that Chivas USA goalkeeper Preston Burpo was able to control.

Cooke’s shot in the 66th minute, set up by Ben-Dayan’s play across the middle, was again stopped by Burpo and Cooke’s second shot on that play went over the goal. Clint Mathis had his free kick in the 12th minute hit the crossbar.
