Two animal rights activists were sentenced in Superior Court on Thursday for holding a protest outside the Larchmont Village home of a city animal services employee in June 2004.

Pamelyn Ferdin, a former child actress who heads the Animal Defense League, was sentenced to 90 days in County Jail after declining an option to avoid jail but wear an electronic monitor. Jerry Vlasak, a surgeon who is Ferdin’s husband, was sentenced to 30 days of monitoring.

Ferdin and Vlasak were convicted May 25 of one count each of violating a law that forbids protests within 100 feet of individuals’ homes. Ferdin was also found guilty of trespassing.
