5 Tons of Pot Found in Truck From Mexico

More than 5 tons of marijuana was discovered in a truck hauling 100 television sets as it attempted to cross into the United States from Mexico, federal authorities said Wednesday.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found nearly 11,000 pounds of marijuana hidden in the shipment bound for Long Beach, officials said.
The driver, Hector Mendez Navarro, 32, of Guadalajara, Mexico, was arrested on federal drug-smuggling charges.
