Immigration protest or rampant ingratitude?

Re “L.A. Authorities Brace for Huge Immigration Marches,” April 28

Today, I truly hope some of the marching lemmings will consider a day without the United States.

The United States has given them opportunities not found in their native lands. Please don’t march with the Mexican flag if you want to be taken seriously. That country gave you nothing.

All I’m asking for is some perspective, and for everyone to take a moment and be grateful for where we all live.

In regard to immigration, your new home country is simply asking you to follow the law when moving here. Why is this so much to ask?

So there is an (illegal) immigrant boycott planned for today to bring the U.S. to its knees. If that is how these future American citizens want to treat a country they (claim) to want to be a part of, what will they do if and when they become citizens?

And it seems to me that by sucking dry social services (schools, hospitals, etc.) they’ve already brought California to its knees.

And by the way, I’ve got a bunch of relatives in Ireland who would like the same free ride to citizenship that anyone who can (illegally) sneak over the border may soon get. Can I tell them to come on over?
