Trojans Weren’t Feeling a Draft

I have always understood that USC is a very expensive university. However, when I heard Matt Leinart coughed up $15 million to $25 million for two units of ballroom dancing, it put it into another perspective.

Last year at this time, everyone was lauding the decision by Matt Leinart to stay in school and further enjoy the college experience. Now, the media are trashing Leinart for not coming out because it cost him $10 million.

Leinart made clear how much he enjoyed USC and this set an example not usually seen by young men playing sports. So now the media keep playing up the money lost and how foolish Leinart was. Money versus school? Good for you, Matt, you made the right choice.

Don’t worry, Reggie. No. 2 isn’t that bad. Michael Jordan was selected third.

Looks as if Reggie Bush and his agent overplayed their hand. There is no other explanation for his drop out of the No. 1 draft position. Of course, things could be worse. Reggie could be Marcus Vick, still waiting for his name to be called.
