An L.A. city firefighter examines a car that collided Tuesday with a Metro Blue Line train at San Pedro Street and Washington Boulevard near downtown Los Angeles. Battalion Chief Joe Castro said the train was traveling east on Washington when it crashed into an Acura sedan that had run a red light while going south on San Pedro. The car was pushed 150 feet before coming to a stop. Its driver was taken to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition. The train driver reported neck and back pain and was also taken to a hospital. None of the roughly 250 train passengers was injured.
