E. Randol Schoenberg, the attorney who engineered the return of five Nazi-looted Gustav Klimt paintings for Los Angeles resident Maria Altmann, will be honored by the Beverly Hills Bar Assn. on May 31. The event will be held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and includes a viewing of the paintings and a screening of the documentary “Klimt: Adele’s Last Will.”

Schoenberg and Altmann are scheduled to attend and will take questions from the audience about their seven-year case against the government of Austria, which ended in January when an Austrian arbitration court ruled that the paintings belonged to Altmann and her family.

The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public, but tickets ($45 each) must be purchased in advance. Information: (310) 601-2422.
