Coins can be just as sweet a treat

Regarding your article on nutrition experts and Halloween [“What Will Food Cops Hand Out?”, Oct. 30]: I only get a few monsters, so I let them reach into my penny jar once, one-handed.

The kids and parents both seem to like it every year, walking away counting the 32 or 87 cents or whatever they get, depending on the size of their fists!
