Who won what at L.A. Fashion Awards

Hosts Jon Kelley and Lauren Holly made for a spirited Los Angeles Fashion Awards ceremony last Friday at the Orpheum Theater downtown, where members of the fashion industry gathered for the second time to celebrate themselves. Under-the-radar designer Rozae Nichols nabbed the top award, the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award, while Cameron Silver and his business partner Darren Gold received the Fashion Retailer Award for their pioneering vintage stores, Decades and Decadestwo.

Monique Lhuillier, the bridal and evening wear designer who soon will extend her reach into home accessories, picked up the Wells Fargo Century Fashion Achievement Award. Stylist and costume designer Arianne Phillips, who was off working on a film in Santa Fe, N.M., won the Fashion Communications Award for her work with pop singer Madonna and on films such as “Walk the Line.”

Guests included retailers Ron Herman, Fraser Ross of Kitson, Lisa Kline and Jeannie Lee of Satine, designers Kevan Hall and Nony Tochterman, and “Project Runway” alums Daniel Franco and Nick Verreos.
