Update -- Today’s game could see the MLS debut of Mexico national team defender Johnny Garcia, who was signed Wednesday after being acquired from Chivas de Guadalajara. Midfielders Juan Pablo Garcia and Francisco “Panchito” Mendoza return after one-game suspensions. Team leader Juan Francisco “Paco” Palencia has recovered from a hamstring injury and could play for the first time since Aug. 6. A 3-2 victory over the Houston Dynamo extended Chivas USA’s unbeaten streak to seven games and moved the club into third place in the Western Conference, one point behind second-place Houston. Without a win in its last five games, D.C. United is coming off a 5-2 home loss to the Galaxy. The team last week signed midfielder Matias Donnet from Boca Juniors in Argentina and Donnet also could make his league debut today.
