A mother and son were arrested in a sting operation after an elderly man was swindled out of $1,500, police said Saturday.
Marcello Adams, 20, of North Hollywood and his mother, Lisa Ruby Adams, 37, were booked on suspicion of grand theft and elder abuse. Police said the suspects befriended the elderly man and then solicited cash for a supposedly sick relative.
