Sting to Check If Drivers Yield to Pedestrians
From Times Staff Reports
ALHAMBRA
Police plan to conduct a sting operation Wednesday to see whether drivers yield to pedestrians in crosswalks at one of the city’s busiest intersections.
The sting, in which plainclothes police officers will pose as pedestrians, is scheduled to run from 7 a.m. to noon in the area of Valley Boulevard and 3rd Street, police said. The officers will periodically cross the street using crosswalks to see whether drivers yield for them. Those who don’t will be ticketed, Sgt. Gary LaGuard said.
