Blaring? To whom

Share

MARK SWED’S dismissal of the Pacific Chorale’s performance of Philip Glass’ “The Passion of Ramakrishna” is unworthy of a serious critic [“Taking a Sounding of the Segerstrom,” Sept. 18]. His one-sentence characterization of the Chorale’s performance as “blaring” provides no enlightenment about the piece or all the hard work that the Chorale devoted to performing it.
