at Milwaukee 10, San Francisco 8: The Brewers scored twice in the eighth to break an 8-8 tie and win their fourth in a row.
Chicago 11, at Cincinnati 4: The Cubs took advantage of six errors by the Reds, their worst defensive game in 35 years. Cincinnati led the NL wild-card race for 46 consecutive days before unraveling in the last month.
at Colorado 10, Atlanta 9: Kaz Matsui hit a two-run triple in a six-run third inning for the Rockies. Braves slugger Andruw Jones had his 35th multi-homer game and fifth this season.
