at No. 2 Auburn 38, Buffalo 7: Backup tailbacks Brad Lester and Ben Tate rushed for two touchdowns apiece and the Tigers (4-0) used a late surge to beat the Bulls (1-3) at Auburn, Ala.

at No. 5 Florida 26, Kentucky 7: Chris Leak threw two touchdown passes, DeShawn Wynn had a second consecutive 100-yard game and the Gators (4-0, 2-0) defeated the Wildcats (2-2, 1-1) at Gainesville. Florida has defeated Kentucky 20 straight times.

at No. 9 Georgia 14, Colorado 13: Freshman quarterback Joe Cox rescued the Bulldogs (4-0) with two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter in a victory over the Buffaloes (0-4) at Athens.

at No. 10 Louisiana State 49, Tulane 7: Early Doucet caught two touchdown passes and ran for a third score to lead the Tigers (3-1) over the Green Wave (1-2) at Baton Rouge, La.

at No. 15 Tennessee 33, Marshall 7: LaMarcus Coker ran 89 yards for a touchdown and Montario Hardesty had a 20-yard scoring run to help the Volunteers (3-1) shake off last week’s loss to Florida with a win over the Thundering Herd (1-3) at Knoxville.

at Arkansas 24, Alabama 23: Mitch Mustain threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Ben Cleveland in the second overtime -- and Jeremy Davis made the extra point -- to give the Razorbacks (3-1, 2-0) a conference win over the Crimson Tide (3-1, 1-1) at Fayetteville.

Wake Forest 27, at Mississippi 3: De’Angelo Bryant rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown to help the Demon Deacons (4-0) get off to their best start since 1987 after a victory over the Rebels (1-3) at Oxford.

Mississippi State 16, at Alabama Birmingham 10: Omarr Conner, the team’s third quarterback this season, jumped across the goal line for a touchdown in overtime and the Bulldogs (1-3) beat the host Blazers (1-3).

at Vanderbilt 38, Tennessee State 9: The Commodores (1-3) forced three turnovers and turned them into touchdowns in a span of 2:15 in the second half to spark a victory over the Tigers (2-2) at Nashville.

at South Carolina 45, Fla. Atlantic 6: Sidney Rice caught a school-record tying five touchdown passes from Syvelle Newton and the Gamecocks (3-1) rolled over the Owls (0-4) at Columbia. Rice had nine catches for 161 yards.
