* at Arizona 6, Colorado 4: Tony Clark drove in three runs with two homers and the Diamondbacks took two of three from the Rockies at Phoenix. It was the 22nd multihomer game for the 34-year-old Clark, who started for the second straight game at first base, a position normally occupied by Conor Jackson. Arizona’s Orlando Hudson went two for three, his eighth multiple-hit game this season.

* Cincinnati 1, at Chicago 0: Kyle Lohse outpitched Ted Lilly, striking out a career-high 12 batters in eight innings to lead the Reds. Lohse (1-0) gave up four hits and one walk. Three of those hits were by Ryan Theriot, but the Cubs couldn’t muster much else against Lohse. Jeff Conine singled in the lone run in the fourth inning. Chicago wasted another solid outing by Lilly (1-1), who gave up a run and two hits, struck out 10 and walked one in six innings.

* at Atlanta 8, Florida 4: Chipper Jones hit a three-run homer and Andruw Jones had a two-run shot to back the strong pitching of Tim Hudson. It was the third home run in the last four games for Chipper Jones, who has seven runs batted in during that stretch. Hudson (2-0) is 102-17 in his career when his team scores at least four runs.

* at St. Louis 10, Milwaukee 2: Albert Pujols broke out of an April drought with two home runs and five RBIs.

* Washington at New York, ppd. rain: No makeup date was announced.

* Houston at Philadelphia, ppd. rain: No makeup date was announced.

* San Francisco at Pittsburgh, ppd. rain: The doubleheader was postponed and no makeup date was announced.

* at Dodgers 9, San Diego 3: Andre Ethier homered and drove in four runs, Randy Wolf won in his home debut with six strong innings and the Dodgers took two out of three from the Padres. San Diego won the season series, 13-5, in 2006.
