* at Colorado 15, Chicago 2: Jamey Carroll hit a pinch-hit grand slam to break a 2-2 tie in the sixth. Carroll, whose only other home run this season also came against the Cubs, hit Rich Hill’s 1-2 pitch just over the left-field wall for the sixth grand slam of the season for the Rockies, a club record.

* Pittsburgh 13, at San Francisco 3: Freddy Sanchez homered and drove in a career-high five runs, and Adam LaRoche connected for the second consecutive game. The Pirates showed plenty of power on a day 43-year-old Giants slugger Barry Bonds sat out to rest after his record-breaking week.

* at Cincinnati 8, San Diego 3: Rookie left-hander Bobby Livingston, 0-2 in his previous four starts, pitched into the ninth inning. The Reds, who used seven relievers in a 12-7, 11-inning loss Friday night, got just what they needed from Livingston. He yielded four hits -- including two homers by Brian Giles -- with no walks in 8 1/3 innings.

* Milwaukee 7, at Houston 4: The Brewers, trailing, 4-3, rallied in the ninth inning. J.J. Hardy and Joe Dillon singled and Rickie Weeks reached on a fielder’s choice before Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer. Prince Fielder followed with a drive to right, his league-leading 36th.

* Atlanta 7, at Philadelphia 5: The Braves were the latest team to rough up Phillies starter Adam Eaton, who is in the first year of a $24.5-million, three-year contract. He failed to get out of the fourth inning -- giving up a pair of homers, six runs and eight hits.

* Florida 7, at New York 5: Miguel Cabrera hit a tiebreaking single with two out and the bases loaded in the eighth inning and Josh Willingham hit the first grand slam of his career to lead the Marlins. Willingham had five runs batted in.

* at Arizona 1, Washington 0: Brandon Webb extended his scoreless-innings streak to a club-record 33.

* at St. Louis 6, Dodgers 1: Derek Lowe has not won since June 22 against Tampa Bay.
