It is fascinating to see what a great season Chris Kaman is having this year, and it makes one wonder if Kaman is not the Clippers’ version of Lamar Odom. Odom, who was the key player in the trade for Shaquille O’Neal, was supposed to become the Scottie Pippen to Kobe Bryant’s Michael Jordan. But Odom seems to show his potential only when Kobe is injured and not playing. Could it be that Kaman has in past years been unable to show his potential until now because of the play of Elton Brand, who has not played this season due to an injury?
