* at New Jersey 3, Washington 2: Vitaly Vishnevski and Dainius Zubrus scored 4:15 apart in the first period, and the Devils won their ninth consecutive game to match their third-best winning streak.
* at Detroit 5, Minnesota 0: Henrik Zetterberg got his second career hat trick and Dominik Hasek stopped 19 shots for his 77th career shutout to lift the Red Wings.
* at Atlanta 4, N.Y. Rangers 2: Slava Kozlov’s slap shot from beyond the left circle with about five minutes left lifted the Thrashers, who are 14-7-1 under General Manager and interim Coach Don Waddell, including two wins over the Rangers.
* at Florida 3, N.Y. Islanders 0: Stephen Weiss and Nathan Horton scored power-play goals and Tomas Vokoun stopped 25 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Panthers ended a three-game losing streak.
* Ottawa 4, at Dallas 2: The Senators improved to a Northeast Division-best 39 points, even though they are 2-4-3 in their last nine games.
* St. Louis 4, at Edmonton 3: The Blues scored twice during a 54-second span in the third period to take a 3-1 lead.
* at Colorado 2, Philadelphia 1: Milan Hejduk’s power play goal with 2.7 seconds left in the second period broke a 1-1 tie.
* Ducks 5, at Chicago 3: Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 39 saves and the Ducks improved to 10-0-1 against the Blackhawks.
