* at Philadelphia 8, Pittsburgh 2: Joffrey Lupul notched a hat trick and had six points, and R.J. Umberger matched him with three goals to end the Flyers’ five-game winless skid at home. Lupul had the first six-point game for a Flyer since Eric Lindros on March 1, 1997, against Toronto.

* Calgary 2, at Florida 1 (SO): Jarome Iginla scored with 10.2 seconds left to send the game to overtime and Kristian Huselius, a former Panther, scored the only goal in the shootout.

* Tampa Bay 3, at Montreal 2 (SO): Brad Richards scored in the shootout and the Lightning handed the Canadiens their sixth consecutive home loss, this one in front of 21,273. Vincent Lecavalier scored his 20th goal and Andre Roy his second for Tampa Bay.

* Edmonton 5, at St. Louis 4 (SO): Shawn Horcoff had a goal and an assist and scored the only goal in a shootout. Doug Weight had two goals and an assist for the Blues, giving him four goals in the last three games after failing to score in the first 25.

* at San Jose 4, Minnesota 1: Steve Bernier scored two goals and Evgeni Nabokov made 36 saves in the Sharks’ fifth victory in six games. The Sharks moved back into a first-place tie with Dallas in the Pacific Division by winning at home for only the second time in six games since Nov. 12.
