Health alert issued over cold weather
County health officials are warning Antelope Valley residents, particularly the very young and very old, to limit their exposure outdoors during a cold snap expected to continue through Thursday night.
Temperatures were expected to drop into the low 20s through Thursday night but rise to the low- to mid-30s by Friday night. Residents were warned not to use stoves, barbecues or ovens for heating because of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
