* at Portland 88, New Orleans 76: The Trail Blazers won their eighth straight game behind Brandon Roy’s 24 points and eight assists. Portland broke open a close game when New Orleans went scoreless for a six-minute stretch of the final quarter. Portland was playing again without LaMarcus Aldridge (foot) and New Orleans was without Peja Stojakovic (groin).

* at Cleveland 104, Milwaukee 99 (2 0T): Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored the Cavaliers’ first six points in the second overtime to lead a victory over the Bucks. LeBron James had 31 points to become the youngest player to score 9,000. James, 22 years and 352 days, took the record from Kobe Bryant, who was 24 years, 127 days old when he reached 9,000.

* Indiana 119, at New York 92: Mike Dunleavy scored 22 of his career-high 36 points in the third quarter and the Pacers outscored the Knicks, 55-28, after the final tie. Stephon Marbury returned after missing four games following the death of his father but the Knicks missed 20 straight shots at one point in losing for the sixth time in seven games.

* at Miami 91, Minnesota 87: It took Dwyane Wade’s 30 points on 18-for-20 free-throw shooting for the Heat to outlast the NBA-worst Timberwolves (3-20) and win for only the third time in 11 home games. Wade made only six of 22 field goals, including 10 straight misses during one stretch. Al Jefferson had 22 points and 20 rebounds for Minnesota.

* at Dallas 111, Orlando 108: Dirk Nowitzki scored 11 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter and the Mavericks shut down Dwight Howard the final three quarters to hold off the Magic. Howard finished the first quarter with 16 points, making six of eight shots, but was only three for eight afterward in finishing with 22 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.

* at Atlanta 116, Utah 111: The Hawks (12-12) moved to .500 for the first time this season and overcame Carlos Boozer’s 39 points and 12 rebounds to end a nine-game losing streak to the Jazz dating to Oct. 31, 2002. Joe Johnson scored 26 for Atlanta. Utah fell to 5-10 on the road, including six straight losses away from Salt Lake City. The Jazz has also lost seven of eight.

* Golden State 125, at Memphis 117: Stephen Jackson had 28 points and 12 rebounds, and Monta Ellis added 23 points to help the Warriors end a three-game road losing streak while handing the Grizzlies their fifth straight loss at home. Trailing by double digits, Memphis made it close down the stretch by making eight of 13 three-point shots in the fourth quarter.

* Phoenix 100, at San Antonio 95: The Spurs, playing without Tony Parker (ankle) for the third straight game, were outscored, 6-0, after taking their last lead at 95-94 in losing their first home game (13-1) despite Tim Duncan’s 36 points and 17 rebounds. Grant Hill scored 22 points for the Suns, who led by seven points going into the final quarter.
