A fire in a Pasadena apartment building Sunday morning displaced about 30 people and destroyed two units.

The blaze was reported at 4:30 a.m. in the 100 block of South Michigan Avenue and was extinguished an hour later, said Lisa Derderian, a Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman.

Four other apartments in the 24-unit structure were damaged by smoke and water, Derderian said. No one was injured, but the building will be closed to residents while firefighters investigate the cause.

Many Pasadena hotels were full because of the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl, but all of the apartment residents were able to find lodging, a Red Cross spokeswoman said.
