BIG WEST CONFERENCE

UC Irvine (11-14, 5-6) at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (11-10, 3-5), 4 p.m. -- Irvine lost at UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, dropping its road record to 3-11. That’s not good news, considering the Anteaters play four of their next five games away from home. Cal Poly has won five of seven but is coming off an 80-77 loss to conference leader Long Beach State. Irvine defeated Cal Poly, 66-62, on Jan. 4.

Cal State Fullerton (17-5, 7-3) at Cal State Northridge (11-12, 4-6), 7 -- It’s the final conference road game for Fullerton, which has a 6-5 road record this season. The Titans shook off the disappointment of a loss to last-place UC Riverside by winning at Pacific on Thursday for only the second time in 18 trips there. Northridge ended a four-game losing streak with an 89-69 victory over Riverside on Thursday.

UC Riverside (5-18, 1-8) at Pacific (8-14, 4-5), 7 -- Riverside’s two-game win streak came to a halt Thursday at Northridge, but guard Larry Cunningham scored 24 points -- the first Highlander to post consecutive 20-point games. Pacific has lost three of four, giving up an average of 81.5 points in that span -- 10 more than its season average.

Long Beach State (16-6, 7-2) at UC Santa Barbara (15-6, 6-2), FSN Prime Ticket, 7 -- First place in the conference will be on the line. Long Beach will have Kejuan Johnson and Mark Dawson back after each served a three-game suspension during an NCAA investigation into their eligibility. Santa Barbara has won four straight but has been vulnerable at home where it is 6-4.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE

Loyola Marymount (11-14, 3-6) at San Diego (14-10, 4-5), 4 -- Loyola, trying to revive its season, has won consecutive games for the first time since Nov. 22 and 24 and has won three of its last four. The Lions have defeated Gonzaga and Santa Clara, the conference co-leaders, during that stretch, which followed an eight-game losing streak. San Diego is coming off a victory at St. Mary’s but has lost four of its last six.

Pepperdine (6-19, 2-7) at San Francisco (9-15, 5-4), 7 -- Pepperdine has lost three consecutive games and a fourth would give it consecutive 20-loss seasons for the first time in school history. With only eight healthy scholarship players, the Waves are beginning to wear down, averaging only 63.6 points in conference games after averaging 82.8 in their first 16. San Francisco is coming off a 74-62 loss to Santa Clara.

PACIFIC 10 CONFERENCE

UCLA (13-12, 7-6) at USC (14-9, 8-5), 11 a.m., FSN -- The winner of the sold-out game in the Galen Center could deal a damaging blow to the loser’s hopes of landing an NCAA tournament bid. After today, each team plays three of its last four regular-season games against nationally ranked opponents: Arizona State, Stanford and California. USC, which has won its last four games against UCLA, has won eight of its last 10 games overall, among them a 75-72 victory last month at Pauley Pavilion.
