Wright State topples Fullerton

DaShaun Wood scored 19 points and Wright State’s bench supplied 38 points in a 77-62 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday night at Fairborn, Ohio.

Vaughn Duggins had 15 points, Will Graham 12 and Scottie Wilson 11 -- all in reserve roles -- for the Raiders (21-8).

Wright State, which leads the Horizon League, has won nine in a row and 12 of 13.

Scott Cutley had 20 points and Bobby Brown 12 -- eight below his average -- for the Titans (18-7), who have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Fullerton lost to Long Beach State, 94-84, on Wednesday night.

Hawaii 93, Long Beach State 78 -- Riley Luettgerodt had career highs of 23 points, eight assists and four steals to lead the Warriors (15-12) past the 49ers (18-7) at the Pyramid.

Aaron Nixon scored 17 points for the 49ers, whose five-game winning streak ended. Sterling Byrd had 16 points and Kejuan Johnson had 15 points and five assists.

San Francisco 76, UC Irvine 62 -- The Dons (12-15) took charge with an early 12-0 run and held on to win at home.

The Anteaters (12-16), who dropped to 4-12 in road games, shot only 35.4% despite a nine-for-18 performance by forward Nic Campbell, who finished with 24 points.

Eastern Washington 71, UC Santa Barbara 70 -- Sophomore guard Rodney Stuckey, who is sixth in the nation in scoring at 24.7 points a game, scored 21 of his 30 points in the second half to help the Eagles (13-14) win at Santa Barbara.

The Gauchos (15-9) suffered their third consecutive loss despite 27 points from Alex Harris.

Cleveland State 85, Cal State Northridge 76 -- Joe Davis scored 17 points in 24 minutes to help the Vikings (9-19) beat the host Matadors (12-14) and end a five-game losing streak.

The Vikings outscored the Matadors, 17-8, over the final 2:39. One key difference in the game was free throws. Cleveland State made 30 of 40 and the Matadors were only 15 for 18.

Pepperdine 95, Loyola Marymount 88 -- The Waves (7-21, 2-9 West Coast Conference) opened the second half with a 17-2 run in handing the Lions (12-16, 4-8) their ninth consecutive loss at Firestone Fieldhouse. Pepperdine scored 35 points off 23 Loyola turnovers. Matthew Knight scored 29 points for the Lions.

UC Riverside 81, Idaho 76 -- Henrik Thomsen scored 21 points to lead the Highlanders (6-20) to their first road victory this season. Justin Bell had 19 points and Larry Cunningham 18 points for the Highlanders.

Keoni Watson led all scorers with 27 points for Idaho (3-23), which has lost nine in a row.

WOMEN

USC 66, Arizona 42 -- All five senior starters scored for the Trojans (16-10, 10-6 Pacific 10) at the Galen Center. Shay Murphy led with 16 points and eight rebounds in 26 minutes. The Wildcats fell to 10-19 and 4-13.
