No. 7 Oregon is upset by Washington

From the Associated Press

Justin Dentmon, benched for the last month for erratic play, scored 24 points and had seven assists to lead Washington to an 89-77 victory over No. 7 Oregon on Thursday night at Seattle.

Ryan Appleby had 16 points and Spencer Hawes, playing despite a sore ankle, had 15 points for the Huskies, 12-7 overall and 2-6 in the Pacific 10 Conference.

Oregon (18-2, 6-2) played without Aaron Brooks, the Pac-10’s scoring leader at 18.4 points a game.

Brooks sat out as his final penalty for elbowing Washington’s Ryan Appleby in the face during a conference tournament game last season.
