Predators keep Blues in check

Martin Erat and Steve Sullivan scored two goals apiece in Nashville’s 6-3 victory over St. Louis, the visiting Predators’ sixth win over the Blues this season and 14th straight overall.

Nashville’s first five victories over St. Louis this season came by one goal, three in overtime.

The Predators rallied from a 2-1 deficit after the first period with goals from Sullivan and Jason Arnott in the first 5:45 of the second.

Pittsburgh 7, Phoenix 2 -- Sidney Crosby and Mark Recchi each had a goal and three assists for the Penguins at Glendale, Ariz. The Coyotes have lost five of eight since winning a season-best seven straight.

New York Rangers 2, Philadelphia 1 -- Jason Krog’s tiebreaking goal 3:49 into the third period for the visiting Rangers sent the Flyers to their ninth straight loss.

Ottawa 3, Boston 1 -- Ray Emery made 29 saves, and Patrick Eaves and Chris Neil scored third-period goals to help the host Senators get their seventh victory in eight games.

Washington 7, Carolina 3 -- Alexander Semin had two goals and an assist and Alex Ovechkin extended his point-scoring streak to 11 games for the Capitals at Washington.

New York Islanders 5, Buffalo 3 -- Randy Robitaille scored with 3:09 left in regulation to help rally the Islanders for their first home win since Dec. 26.

Columbus 3, Minnesota 2 -- The Blue Jackets held on at Columbus, Ohio, for their third straight victory and fourth in five games.

Toronto 4, Montreal 1 -- Defenseman Pavel Kubina scored twice in Toronto for the Maple Leafs.

Florida 4, New Jersey 2 -- Rostislav Olesz scored twice and Joel Kwiatkowski had the winner at Sunrise, Fla., to give the Panthers consecutive wins for the first time since Dec. 27-29.
