Williams to lead benefit

Composer-conductor John Williams will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in a concert to benefit the orchestra’s Musicians Pension Fund on March 5 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Directors Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg will host the event, which will include a tribute to the music of Bernard Herrmann (“Citizen Kane,” “The Devil and Daniel Webster,” “Psycho”) and a tribute to Williams’ collaboration with Spielberg on such films as “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” and “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.”
