Bryans lose in doubles final

Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra of France upset twins Bob and Mike Bryan of Camarillo on Sunday in the Wimbledon men’s doubles final, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.

The Bryans were the defending champions.

The 10th-seeded French duo hit a series of winning volleys and passing shots to clinch its first Grand Slam doubles title together.

In the women’s doubles final, 2005 Wimbledon champions Cara Black and Liezel Huber beat Katarina Srebotnik and Ai Sugiyama, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Long touted as the next great American tennis player, Donald Young played the part by winning the Wimbledon juniors title. Young, 17, beat top-seeded Vladimir Ignatic of Belarus, 7-5, 6-1.

Young, who was born in Chicago and lives in Atlanta, is No. 292 on the ATP Tour rankings, which made him the highest-ranked player in the boys’ draw. He’s 0-10 on the men’s tour but now is a two-time major champion in juniors.

Young won the Australian Open junior title in 2005, the same year he reached the semifinals at Wimbledon. He said he may play juniors in one more major event -- the U.S. Open -- before joining the regular tour full time.
