Steven Spielberg and Electronic Arts Inc. plan to introduce an action-adventure video game and a second title that allows players to create games by maneuvering blocks.

Spielberg and EA, the world’s largest video game maker, are collaborating on three titles, including a block-building game designed for Nintendo Co.’s Wii console, the company and the director said Tuesday.

The details are the first to be revealed about the games since Spielberg, director of such movies as “Saving Private Ryan” and “War of the Worlds,” agreed in October to work with Redwood City, Calif.-based EA. They didn’t say when the games would be released.

The action-adventure game will be available for Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 3 console, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 and personal computers, they said. The game will involve players with a mysterious female character “who holds the key to many futures.”

The block-moving title for Wii will let players build and destroy structures. No information was provided on the third game.

Shares of Electronic Arts fell 91 cents to $49.44.
