Fujioka to start county executive job July 23
The county’s newly hired chief executive, William T Fujioka, will start his job July 23, county officials said Wednesday -- a week earlier than his originally scheduled start date.
The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to hire the retired Los Angeles city administrator. The panel is expected to approve the new start date next week.
Fujioka, 54, will earn $310,000 a year. He has worked as a county hospital administrator, in the county’s human resources department and in the city’s personnel department. Fujioka replaces outgoing county executive David E. Janssen.
