* at Chicago 3, San Francisco 2: Aramis Ramirez lined a two-run double off the wall in left field with two out in the eighth inning, and the Cubs won their fourth game in a row.
* at Washington 4, Houston 3: Dmitri Young hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the sixth inning, and the Nationals handed the Astros their seventh consecutive road loss.
* St. Louis 5, at Florida 3: Chris Duncan and Adam Kennedy homered for the Cardinals, and Braden Looper (7-7) won for the first time in seven starts dating to May 24.
* at Milwaukee 4, Arizona 3: Corey Hart and Ryan Braun homered for the Brewers. It was the 14th homer for Braun, who made his major league debut May 25.
* Colorado 10, at Pittsburgh 8: Matt Holliday drove in three runs for the Rockies, who once led by eight runs. There were five sacrifice flies, tying a major league record.
* at San Diego 5, New York 1: David Wells (5-5) pitched six strong innings, and Michael Barrett was three for four with three runs batted in.
* Cincinnati 10, at Atlanta 3: Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 24th homer to pass Frank Robinson for sixth place on the career list with 587.
* at Dodgers 10, Philadelphia 3: Jeff Kent and Matt Kemp each hit three-run homers, and Brad Penny became the first Dodger to begin a season 11-1 since Doug Rau in 1977.
