Man arrested in death of his wife last year
An Anaheim man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of murder in the death of his wife, authorities said.
Angel Cerna, 35, was being held at the Anaheim Detention Facility with bail set at $1 million, authorities said. His wife, Gabriela Herrera, disappeared Nov. 6.
A few weeks later, her abandoned cream-colored 2002 Chevrolet Malibu was found in Baldwin Park. On Dec. 30, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified a body found earlier near the 60 Freeway in Los Angeles as that of Herrera.
No further details were available on Thursday’s arrest.
