U.S. border agent dies while on patrol

A Border Patrol agent died Thursday while on duty in the Jacumba area east of San Diego, officials said Friday.
Eric Cabral, 31, and a partner were tracking a group of suspected illegal immigrants when they became separated. When another agent found Cabral, he was unresponsive and later was pronounced dead at a hospital. Foul play was not suspected, officials said.
