Bias-ball?
Are the mensas who gave us the Bowl Championship Series the folks who decided to put two Big West teams (Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine) in the same bracket in the College World Series as two Pac-10 teams (Oregon State, Arizona State)?
Logic dictates that there should be one team from both conferences in both brackets. Now the teams from the West will beat one another in order to face Rice, North Carolina, Louisville or Mississippi State in the two-out-of-three final.
Just another classic example of “East Coast bias.”
