Police hunt for suspect in several sexual attacks

Riverside police are searching for a rapist they believe is responsible for a series of attacks on women in Corona and Riverside dating back to January 1996.
The most recent rape occurred June 21 about 7 p.m. in the 3700 block of Jefferson Street, police said. The suspect entered through an unlocked door and threatened the victim with a knife before sexually assaulting her, police said. He then stole her wallet and cellphone and fled on foot.
